Provide flow, total head, liquid properties, temperature, suction conditions, operating range, materials, seal arrangement, motor supply and applicable standards. Request a completed data sheet and performance curve for the offered model, not only a price list.
Verify manufacturing capability
Confirm whether the supplier designs, casts, machines, assembles and tests the pump or outsources those stages. Review model records, calibration status, material traceability and examples of test reports. A factory visit or qualified third-party audit should follow a defined checklist.
Control inspection and testing
Agree the inspection and test plan before the order. Hold points may cover material certificates, dimensional checks, hydrostatic test, performance test, vibration, paint and packing. Define acceptance tolerances, witness arrangements and the documents required for release.
